This incident occurred in Lucknow, A troop of monkeys attacked medical officer and snatched away blood sample of coronavirus patient, had tested positive for the novel coronavirus
The monkey were attacked when the technician was walking in the campus of a state-run medical college in Meerut, 460 km north of Lucknow, capital of Uttar Pradesh state.
According to metro.co.uk , ‘Monkeys grabbed and fled with the blood samples of four COVID-19 patients who are undergoing treatment … we had to take their blood samples again.’ Dr S. K. Garg said a top official at the college .
The incident was captured on the video which shows one of the monkeys chewing the sample collection kits on top of a tree. Parts of those kits were then seen lying strewn on the ground, which has now made locals afraid
People are scared about the spread of COVID-19 as the monkeys carried the test samples to nearby residential areas

Later, SK Garg, Principal, Meerut Medical College clarified that the monkeys only took the blood samples and not the Covid-19 swab samples.
He added: ‘No evidence has been found that monkeys can contract the infection.’
India has had 165,799 cases of the coronavirus and 4,706 deaths.
